Made for CP2106: Independent Software Development Project (Orbital) by team Domo Kodomo / 2020

Have you ever been bored at home with nothing to do? In these dire times, where we’re all stuck at home and cannot travel freely, our world becomes bleak and stale. We wake, sit down in front of our computers and slave away at the monolith of running our society before settling back into bed again, in an endless loop of a mind-crushing unchanging routine. Games slowly twist from being engaging and fun, to being repetitive, bland and everything slowly fades away into the monotony of our slavery. In this dreary climate, we want to introduce a unique concept that would help to reinvigorate this dying society of ours. A game that can splash colour into our monochromatic surroundings, returning the zest of adventure into this weary life, to bring back the choir of music into a world reminiscent of the last ringing note in a dying orchestra.

2D platformers are certainly nothing noble, but we thought it would be a great starting point to software engineering. We intend to create the platformer with a special twist to it. Imagine if you could time travel. Imagine if you could interact with your past selves. What could you do with that? Starting from this idea, we decided to create a game to showcase the possibilities of this idea. As such we proposed a 2D platformer puzzle game where you have to interact with your past selves to get through the level.
